Do you think its possible to merge all the databases in just 10 days? How realistic is it?
Howcome they put such a tight deadline for this database merger ? If they can do this in 10 days then Nov'2008 VB might have few surprises.

There is no rule/law that'll help you get a green card if you stay here for 10 years or even 50 years.

My EAD is going to expire in 3 months and I am filing for my renewal now. What can be done if you don't get the EAD renewal response before the expiry of the current one ?
I heard somewhere, that if you don't receive the renewal notice within 60 days, then you can approach the local USCIS office and get a temporary EAD card for 90 days.
Anybody knows more ?
Also, generally do folks approach their lawyers for extension filing or they do it themselves?

I-485, AP, EAD filed in July 07
EAD expiring on July 31st 2008.

It is a new EAD and not an extension of your old EAD. You can go online and e-file and there is no need for a lawyer. As you have all your GC details including your Alien #, it is very straight forward.

What are the requirements to port from eb3 to eb2 with just an i 140 approved? I am happy with my current employer. I have worked with this company for 5 years now. I have a master's from a well known university in the US. At the time of applying for gc, attorney and company advised to file in eb3.

But I think it's thanks to CBN who pulled the consulate to Hyd when they were debating to have the consulate in Hyd or Bangalore. From what I know YSR govt just boomed up the realty prices but nothing else, though realty went up in other parts of the country too.
PS: I'm not very sure but just expressed my thoughts as we are talking about consulate/Hyd/how proud we should be etc in this thread.For those who know better or disagree with me please feel free to do so by posting in the thread but not by giving red/accompanying mssgs. These days I'm so cautious that unless absolutely sure I don't take any chances with posting on threads so as to avoid upsetting people even remotely. EAD is not a valid status..just a document which provides you authorization to work in united states.
There isn't much information on your post to see what fees are you talking about you may have to break it down and see what is it all about.

On February 9, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

My take on the permanent solution:
1. Recapture lost visa numbers
It will need change in law. Cannot be done without senate and congress approval
2. Medical tests are going to be valid indefinitely
Possibily but cannot be a big news, especially if we are talking about near term good news
3. Ppl who've worked for X years automatically can apply for I-485

One of my friends had his 485 pending. He took leave of absence from company and went on to pursue full time MBA for 2 years.
In the middle of MBA, company had to remove him from payroll due to re-org.
Green card came in a few months.
He is now doing a hot shot MBA job using GC.
Will he face issues during N-400?
Is there anything wrong in what he did?

As per my company if you do not carry AP and your green card is approved and you enter using H1 you will invalidate your green card.

hi thank you once again.
my project is not that much long term project . after completing project again i have to go for " X " location only . In this recession time getting project in same place is very tough and then for every project we cant move our whole family but we single persons can adjust and stay with some friends in that project location.
I said i moved not we all. sorry for that i might have tell you clearly before . i thought if i write everything its looks like bigger matter. so for suggesting me some guys cant take that much time to read full thing. so i mentioned only important things. anyway i really appriciate your good efforts . thank you.

Hi,
I am applying for AP Renewal for myself and my wife. Can someone please send me the information on the following.
1. AP is expiring on September 20th. Can I file even after the expiry of the AP?
2. I am in AL.So, I need to be sending the application to Texas Service Center. But I am confused on where to send the documents? I will be sending by FedEx or UPS?
3. When I prepare the documents, do I enter Part 9, Signature of person preparing the form, if other than the application?
4. Last year our attorney filed the application and I have a copy of that application. I see "Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Representative" form. I am sure I dont have to file that now but do I need to do anything so that I get the receipt/approval notices instead of going to the Attorney Office?

I found paper filing easier than e-file. Even with e-filing, you still need to mail your pictures.
1. You can file AP even after the first one expires. But I filed for renewal 3 months before expiry.
2. AP form has the TSC address. I used USPS.
